PURPOSE
This unit standard is for persons who are responsible to apply first aid in a working place.
TARGET GROUP
This program is compiled for the following target group:
• Security members.
• South African Defense Force members.
• South African Police Force members.
• Correctional Services.
• Individuals who wish to complete the NQF level 3 National Certificate in security practices.
A person credited with this unit standard will be able to:
♦ Describe first aid equipment and explain basic application.
♦ Assess the accident scene, report and make it safe.
♦ Prioritise the casualties and treatment.
